PeoplePay now has more financial institutions accept payment through PeoplePay, expanding your payment abilities.
Your payee can choose to accept payments using their debit card or using a next-day electronic (ACH) option
Your money will come out of your account as soon as your payee chooses how they want the funds to transfer. The funds will come out immediately if they choose debit card or overnight if they choose the ACH (electronic) option.
Your payee will no longer be required to enter their debit card information with every payment. After choosing how they want the money to transfer the first time, all future payments will default to the same option until they choose a different method.
To make sure your payments are secure, the first time you enter a new payee, you will be asked to enter a one-time passcode before proceeding.
If your payee does not pick a payment right away, they will receive notifications after 3 days and again after 5 days to cut down on missed payments.
Additionally, to help further protect your account, transfers may only occur if you have sufficient funds in your account.
