In this section, we address some of the most common questions we’ve heard from our customers. Many more questions will be answered over the next several months as we progress with this integration.

Q: Who is C&N?
A. Citizens & Northern Corporation is the bank holding company for C&N, headquartered in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. Established in 1864, C&N currently operates 29 offices located in Bradford, Bucks, Cameron, Chester, Lancaster, Lycoming, Potter, Sullivan, Tioga and York counties in Pennsylvania and Steuben and Chemung counties in New York. Q. Why is SCB merging with C&N?
A. We are joining forces with C&N to create a stronger, more dynamic community bank in our region. With this merger, you will enjoy expanded banking capabilities and a broader offering of products and services, along with our continued commitment to deliver a better banking experience for our customers.
Q. When will the merger be complete?
A: The actual transaction is scheduled to close on October 1, 2025. The systems conversion is expected to be complete on December 8th, 2025.
Q: What will Susquehanna Community Bank be called after the merger?
A: Susquehanna Community Bank will assume the C&N name and branding.
Q: When will I officially become a C&N customer?
A: Susquehanna Community Bank will legally become C&N on October 1. We expect to convert customer accounts to C&N on the weekend of December 5th, which is when you can transact in C&N branches and through C&N’s digital banking platforms.
Q: Will my deposits be FDIC-insured after the conversion?
A: Yes, C&N is a federally insured institution. Deposits are insured up to $250,000 per depositor, per FDIC-insured bank, per ownership category. For more detailed information, please visit the FDIC's FAQ's here.
Q. Will I still see the same people in my local branch?
A. The same friendly SCB experts you’ve come to know and trust will continue to serve you as members of the C&N team. You can expect the same level of superior service and care as we remain committed to serving you even better in the future, for many years to come.
Q: When will I receive more details about how this merger will affect me, my accounts, and online banking?
A: You will receive a monthly newsletter intended to keep you informed throughout the merger process. In late October, a comprehensive Welcome Book will be mailed to you with detailed information about what to expect, including any actions you might need to take during this transition, important dates and answers to common questions.

Q: Will my account numbers change?
A: We are currently reviewing both banks’ customer account details to determine if any account numbers will need to change. It is expected that the vast majority of account numbers will remain the same. Rest assured, in the event that any account number changes will be necessary, our team will be here to support you every step of the way to help make it as easy as possible.
Q. How will my C&N account be different from my SCB account?
A: The Welcome Book that you’ll receive in late October will explain what you need to know and any changes you can expect during this transition. In the meantime, we welcome you to review C&N’s extensive lineup of products and services at cnbankpa.com
Q. Does C&N have a free checking account?
A. Yes, C&N’s Everyday Checking account is a popular option with customers. You can compare all our checking accounts at cnbankpa.com/Personal/Bank/Checking-Accounts
Q. Does C&N have an account like SCB’s Good Neighbors account for older customers? Receiving a free book of checks is important to me.
A. You will be able to enjoy the same benefits of your current Good Neighbors account at C&N. C&N’s Merit Checking account offers a free book of checks every year for customers age 55 and up and free bill pay. Identity Theft Monitoring services are also available for free through Carefull and SavvyMoney.
Q. What will happen to my Eagle Premium Savings account?
A. If you already have an Eagle Premium Savings account, it will convert as-is upon the transition to C&N.
Q: Will my existing online banking username change?
A: Our team is working diligently to make this transition as easy as possible for you. We will be sure to provide an answer to this question as soon as we have more information to share.
Q. Should I be worried about having to learn a new system to do my banking?
A. C&N’s systems utilize up-to-date technology and industry best practices with customer experience top-of-mind. While systems won’t convert until December, our team is ready to support you through this important transition with personalized service and helpful resources. A: Yes, for now. Eventually, you will be issued a new C&N debit card. We will share specifics, including dates, timelines and any actions you may need to take, as soon as possible.
Q: How should I manage my SCB checks if I'm running low or have left over checks after conversion?
A: In the very likely case that your account numbers remain the same, you will be able to continue using your current checks. If you need to order checks now, go ahead and do so. Even after conversion, SCB checks will still be valid indefinitely. The routing number will automatically convert to C&N on December 8th and your checks will process as normal with no disruption to you.

A: We recently announced some changes to branch hours effective July 7th. This was to more closely align with C&N branch hours. All branch information and hours of operation can be found on our website and within our mobile app. We do not expect any additional changes to our office hours but, in the case that there are changes, we will provide ample notice to customers well in advance.
Q: Is C&N a member of the MoneyPass® Surcharge-Free ATM Network?
A: Our team is working diligently to make this transition as easy as possible for you. We will be sure to provide an answer to this question as soon as we have more information to share.
Q. Will all SCB branches stay open?
A. Yes, there are currently no plans to close any SCB branches.
