C&N Welcomes Matthew L. Bower as Executive Vice President, Chief Wealth Management Officer
WELLSBORO, PA – Citizens & Northern Corporation (NASDAQ: CZNC), announced that Matthew L. Bower will lead the C&N Wealth Management team as EVP, Chief Wealth Management Officer.
With Matthew’s 25 years of industry experience, he brings a depth of knowledge and leadership experience to C&N. Most recently, he led PNC’s Wealth Management Group in Atlanta, GA, as Managing Director, delivering industry-leading results in client and employee satisfaction and, for 13 consecutive years, his office and numerous regional responsibilities ranked in the top 5 in production.
Brad Scovill, C&N’s President and CEO said, “Matt is a seasoned sales leader who will complement the strong leadership team we have at C&N. His extensive background, industry knowledge and focus on relationships is a great fit for our Wealth Management team and our plans to grow and expand this important business line.”
While Bower has specialized in handling high net worth and financially complex situations, he has considerable experience in all aspects of wealth management, including the administration of investment account management, financial management and fiduciary administration. During his time at PNC, he also served as Senior Vice President & Market Executive for Southwest Florida and, prior to that, he was the head of Private Banking Sales, Administration and Marketing for U.S. Trust Company in Sarasota, Florida. Bower earned his Master of Jurisprudence from Texas A&M University School of Law in Fort Worth, TX, and completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business’s Executive Leadership Program. He has several FINRA licensures and has earned designations as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), Certified Securities Operations Professional (CSOP) and a Chartered Wealth Manager® (CWM).
“I am honored to join the C&N team,” said Bower. “I believe in creating client relationships that are real, rather than superficial, and delivering results for my clients, which aligns well with C&N’s relationship-based business model. C&N Wealth Management group is uniquely positioned for continued, long-term growth and I'm enthusiastic about the future opportunities we have to create value for our stakeholders together.”
While Matt and his wife, Lori, search for a place to call home and represent C&N in the community, they enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time with their two college age daughters, Madeline and Ella.
