C&N Names Michael Wetzel, Jr. as Senior Vice President, Participation & Specialized Lending Manager

WELLSBORO, PA – C&N, the leading financial services company in the region, announced the promotion of Michael Wetzel to Senior Vice President, Participation and Specialized Lending Manager as a result of his proven leadership abilities and dedication to the company and its customers. 

“Mike’s market expertise, local and industry connections, sales acumen and ability to build strong, key relationships have helped C&N secure our position as the leading provider of business banking services and technology in our region,” said Brad Scovill, C&N President & CEO. “We’re thrilled to recognize his achievements and his commitment to our company’s vision, mission and values.”

Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from Clarion University in 2000. Upon graduation, he joined C&N as the Branch Manager of the Coudersport office. From there, he assumed the roles of SBA Loan Specialist and Senior Commercial Loan Sales Officer. In his role as SVP/Participation and Specialized Lending Manager, Wetzel is responsible for managing the Business Manager loan portfolio, process and product growth and leading the Bank’s Participation Lending function, responsible for loan portfolio quality and growth. He supervises all administrative functions of the Bank’s Government Guaranteed Loan portfolio including SBA, FSA, and USDA guaranteed loans. In 2007, Mike graduated with honors from the PBA School of Commercial Lending attended the Central Atlantic Advanced School of Banking in 2003. He serves as Treasurer on the Board of the Coudersport Public Library and is a member of the board of the Coudersport Golf Club. Mike is also the Assistant Coach of the 5th & 6th Grade Boys Basketball program. Mike lives in Coudersport with his wife, Samantha, and their 10-year-old son, Lawson.
