Merger FAQs

You have questions, we have answers

Get answers to some frequently asked questions about how the merger will affect your banking experience.

Q: What will Monument Bank be called after the merger?

A: We’ve teamed up with a brand development agency to help us navigate the crucial months ahead. We’re examining the Monument brand, the C&N brand, the competitive landscape in our markets and our customers’ perspectives and priorities. We expect to share the new brand with you in June 2019.

Q: Will my account number(s) change?

A: All certificates of deposit, checking, savings, and commercial loan account numbers will stay the same. 27 of our consumer loan accounts will need to change account numbers and those customers will be contacted directly by their banker to assist with the transition.

Q: When will the merger be complete?

A: The actual transaction is expected to close in April 2019. The systems conversion is expected to take place in late June 2019.

Q. What does this mean for me and my banking experience?

A. Monument offices are open and will continue to operate as usual. This merger, unlike many you read about, is not about shrinking or consolidation. Instead, it’s about growth and positioning the Bank to serve you even better well into the future, for many years to come.

Q. When can I expect to receive more specifics about my accounts and online banking changing to C&N?

A. We will be sending a comprehensive informational welcome booklet before the system conversion in June.
